College Hill CURC Summer 2020 Internship

Intern Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Community Development Director in planning and hosting events throughout the summer at Patrick’s Park.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Intern to design social media posts.
  • Photograph all events.
  • Research information to put into the College Hill 2030 Plan.
  • Work with the Community Development Director on the Commercial and Residential FacadeImprovement Plans.
  • Assist the Property Manager and Community Development Director in organizing all leases and information on commercial tenants.
  • Must be familiar with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and experience putting together marketing/promotional materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maneuver websites and make changes to content & design.
  • Experience with managing social media accounts and maintaining consistent branding and voice.
  •  Comfortable participating in events and meetings with community members and partners.
  • Event planning experience preferred, but not necessary.

Internship Timing:

  • Summer 2020 (May-August)

Hours:

– 32-40 hours per week

Eligibility:

  • Must be a student entering their junior or senior year of undergraduate studies.
  • Preferred majors: Public Policy, Business, Urban Planning, Hospitality Management, PublicHealth, Communications, Marking.
Scripps Howard Summer 2020 Internship

Intern Responsibilities: 

  • Assist Community Development Director to manage our social media pages. 
    • Track views, likes, friends and followers.
  • Assist Community Development Director with website posting and maintenance. 
  • Assist with developing & revising College Hill CURC’s marketing materials including event promotions, newsletters, and postcards. 
  • Assist with developing marketing materials and promoting Patrick’s Park Summer Event Series.
  • Develop College Hill CURC template for monthly e-newsletter and work with the Community Development Director to develop content.

Required skills/training: 

  • Must be familiar with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and experience putting together marketing/promotional materials.

Eligibility: 

  • Undergraduate students at the junior or senior level from the University of Cincinnati (UC), Xavier University (XU), Northern Kentucky University (NKU) or Miami University (Miami) majoring in communications, marketing, and/or public relations. 
  • Reminder: students may only be a Scripps Howard intern once in their academic career.
