Derby Day at Laurel Court 2019

$85It’s the time of the year to put on our elegant hats, sip our mint juleps, and meet up with friends to celebrate the 145th Kentucky Derby! College Hill Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation (CHCURC) invites you to celebrate the Kentucky Derby at Historic Laurel Court on Saturday May 4th, 2019 beginning at 5:00 pm. In addition to enjoying the thrill of the race, guests will be treated to complimentary cocktail hour featuring mint juleps, beer & wine, Derby themed catering, silent & live auctions, a hat contest and other Derby-centric games.

All proceeds of the event go directly to CHCURC, whose mission is to revitalize the Hamilton Avenue business district to strengthen the surrounding College Hill Community. Established in 1975, CHCURC has been working tirelessly to make improvements to our business district by stabilizing and renovating historic structures, infilling vacant land with amenities and new housing, attracting new business, and engaging residents and other stakeholders with placemaking events & community input sessions – all with the goal of improving quality of life for all residents. We do accept payment by check as well – please mail or drop off your check to CHCURC’s office at 1551 Marlowe Avenue, 45224, along with the name, email address, address and phone number of each guest.

Attendees must be 21+ years old.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking is available in Laurel Court’s lot (off Oakwood Ave.) and Mercy McAuley High School, as well as on Oakwood Avenue & surrounding streets. We also encourage guests to carpool or use ridesharing services.
