College Hill has transformed its Hollywood Theater into a drive-in movie experience for the neighborhood for the entire summer.

The College Hill Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation first showed films during Memorial Day weekend to benefit the historic Hollywood Theatre, which opened in 1925.

The organization has decided to extend the experience for the entire summer.

This weekend they will feature “The Princess Bride” on Friday and “Star Wars - A New Hope” on Saturday. The full lineup for the summer has not been announced.

43 tickets will be available for each showing.

The development group suggests calling in food orders to your favorite restaurant and getting carryout before the event. There will also be cheese and pepperoni pizza by the slice available from Red Rose. 1 slice for $3, 2 for $5.50, or one slice and a drink for $4. Hot dogs are also available for $2.50, or $3.00 for a hot dog with chips. Their pick-up window is open from 8:15 to 9:00 PM.

Tickets are $20 and available at https://hollywooddrivein.eventbrite.com.
