The College Hill Community Urban Redevelopment Corp. (“CHCURC”) is a non-profit community development corporation located in the diverse and historic College Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati. We work closely with residents, neighborhood organizations, business owners, and strategic partners to enhance our existing community assets and to promote a comprehensive development of the entire community Our mission is to revitalize the College Hill business district to improve the surrounding community.

As part of this mission we are currently focused on revitalizing the neighborhood business district. Our approach is comprehensive and as such we are creating initiatives in the follow areas: Economic Development, Community Development, Real Estate Development, Transportation, Design, and Community Engagement.

Job Opportunities

CHCURC is seek to hire a new Real Estate Development Director which will report directly to CHCURC’s Executive Director. CHCURC is seeking individuals with skillsets that align to the description listed below.

This position is intended to be a full-time hire with a flexible start date. This application will remain listed until the position is filled.

Job Responsibilities

The Real Estate Development Director shall be responsible for the development of all necessary properties owned by CHCURC and the future acquisition of other strategic properties in our business district. As the Real Estate Development Director, you will be expected to develop proformas to determine feasibility, utilize available tools to adjust proformas in order to meet desired ROI, work with architects, engineers and other consultants on pre-development and manage the construction of the development to a timely and cost-effective completion. The Real Estate Development Director will also be responsible for soliciting and ultimately signing tenants to commercial spaces and other jobs responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director.

The Real Estate Development Director should come with some experience in development, whether through pre-development or construction management experience. NDC Training and non-profit is desirable, although not required. Applicants must have strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and leadership skills to successful manage projects. This role comes with extensive teamwork requirements, so the selected candidate must be able to work in a team environment. This role will come with some public speaking requirements and require some weekend or late evening work, albeit infrequent.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriately correlating field to the area of which an individual is applying. Extensive experience and training may substitute for education requirements.

Compensation

Salaries will be offered based on experience and roles ultimately hired to oversee.
